An Anglo-German painter, Mishi Bellamy now lives in south-west Scotland, after spending twenty perfect years between the Val de Loire and Aix en Provence. Before that she was based with her family in India, where her husband was working for a multi-national company. Residing in Delhi and Jaipur, throughout the 1990s, then commuting between the two countries, happy exiles, until 2016 and the tragedy of Brexit closed the European chapter on easy travel. However Scotland's vibrant art scene is a great compensation and the recent Gracefield Arts Centre Retrospective show has been well-received, with another show coming in September 2025, at the Dundas Gallery, Edinburgh.
